Nigerian Surgical Research Society

The Nigerian Surgical Research Society (NSRS) has enhanced and fostered surgical research for more than 40 years. The Society provides a platform for practicing surgeons and aspiring surgical trainees to present their laboratory and clinical research. In spite of diverse surgical subspecialties, NSRS has maintained its independent status and looks forward to partnership with other surgical societies and associations.

The Nigerian Surgical Research Society (NSRS) holds two conferences in a year. The conferences hold in the first week of July and December. Both the July and December 2024 conferences will take the usual form and center on the presentation of research undertaken by surgical residents and consultants. We encourage medical students to join in the conferences. The 2024 conferences will hold at the Delta State University Teaching Hospital, Oghara, Delta State, on Friday, July 5, 2024 and Friday December 27, 2024. The 1-day conference will be preceded by a training day for consultants, residents and medical students on Thursday, July 4, 2024 and Thursday, December 6, 2024. Attendance at the pre-conference training day is free for those who register for the conference, but the spaces are limited to 30 attendees.

See the conference page for more details.
